Carbon cap contest: the winner gets $10,000

Green SupplyLine

Washington, D.C. — The Environmental Defense Action Fund (EDAF) has launched a web competition today (Sept. 25) offering $10,000 for the best video or graphic that explains how capping greenhouse gas pollution will break America's addiction to oil.

"A cap on carbon will end America's oil addiction by spurring investors and inventors to develop clean energy solutions. In the same way, we think this competition will spur creative minds around the country to help tell this story," said Keith Gaby, director of communications for the National Climate Campaign at EDAF, in a statement.

The competition will end at 11:59 pm on Friday November 21, 2008. Second and third prizes will also be rewarded. Get the competition details here.
