Pasadena, Calif. — SupplyFrame has released its free SupplyFrame GoPart electronic component search engine widget that enables design engineers and buyers to quickly find the most current information about millions of electronic components via their desktop computers.
The SupplyFrame GoPart widget is an extension of the company's electronic component search engine, which offers exclusive up-to-date pricing, availability, sources, trends, and cross reference data. The new industry vertical search engine (VSE) allows users to pull up product data from most Windows applications and is expected to eliminate hours of time spent searching for information across multiple web sites and catalogs. The SupplyFrame GoPart widget is available at www.supplyframe.com/gopart and can be installed by the user onto their desktop computer.
The company describes SupplyFrame GoPart as a new class of tool that opens an electronic component search engine inside many applications including EDA, MRP,
MS Excel or a browser, and supplies electronic component datasheets, RoHS compliance data, volume pricing and lead times as well as electronic component cross references.
SupplyFrame has also announced that Avnet Electronics Marketing has partnered with the company to bring the free desktop search tool to Avnet customers. Under the agreement, Avnet will launch the SupplyFrame GoPart widget in the North American market.
In addition to presenting live content on electronic components, GoPart also allows users to check Avnet's available inventory. This will enable users to quickly find component information right on their desktop, while using their design tools, and link to the shopping cart at the Avnet web site.
SupplyFrame GoPart is being offered free of charge through both SupplyFrame and Avnet.
