Irving, Tex. Nokia is celebrating Earth Day by introducing a program designed to make recycling easier for any mobile phone, mobile phone battery or mobile phone accessory, regardless of brand.
Starting today, consumers can pick-up a recycling kit that includes a free postage-paid envelope at any of the 13 Nokia Experience Centers across the country or from the Nokia Flagship Stores in Chicago and New York. Consumers can place their item in the 100% recyclable envelope and drop it in any mailbox.
Consumers can also download and print a pre-paid postage label at
www.nokiausa.com/recycle, which can be affixed to any mailer and sent to Nokia for recycling.
In addition, phone owners who visit a Nokia Experience Center or Flagship Store on April 20-22 for a recycling kit will also receive a seedling of a tree species selected to thrive in the area. For more information about Nokia's environmental programs, please visit www.nokia.com/environment.
Sharp and Best Buy also recently announced recycling programs to celebrate Earth Day.
