Total Parts Plus adds REACH SVHC reporting to compliance tools

Green SupplyLine

Fort Walton Beach, Fla. — In response to upcoming deadlines for the European Union's Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) legislation, Total Parts Plus, a content and solution provider for electronic components, has added the tracking and flagging of REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) to its suite of obsolescence management and environmental compliance tools. The tools also now include the tracking and reporting of halogen-free components.

With the REACH deadlines approaching and the industry moving to halogen-free products, identification is paramount for the electronics industry, said Total Parts Plus.

Total Parts Plus will identify the proposed 15 SVHC candidates and will track any additional substances as they are approved. Halogen-free products will also be identified and tracked for reporting purposes. Users will be able to submit any board-level electronic component through Total Parts Plus' web application and generate the named material, weights and measures required for REACH reporting.
